Joy and Justice after Losing a Child!
Submitted By Anonymous

Sometimes I wonder how a mother finds joy again in her life after losing a child. I featured a mother, Bobbie whose daughter was murdered by the daughter’s husband and three little children were left without a mother. If it could be any worse, the murderer initially got away with it.
Bobbie adopted the children to protect them from the father and her other daughter, Rochelle fought for three years to put him behind bars. Because of her persistence, she was successful.
Now, Rochelle is Vice President of a crime prevention group called, “Mothers in Charge” and she owns and operates a fantastic restaurant called Bungalow VII. Bobbie runs the kitchen of the restaurant with her secret ingredient, ‘cookin with love.”

In fact, much of the family is involved in the restaurant and there is more genuine joy in this place than I have seen anywhere. The patrons feel like they are part of the family and everyone has so much fun together, you can’t help but have a good time there.

I learned that even though she is missed, Bobbie and Rochelle are able to have peace and joy because they did everything in their power to seek justice for the daughter’s death. And, they are also working proactively to make sure the same does not happen to another sister or daughter or family member of someone they don’t know.

That has to be the key, a child’s memory must live on through reaching out to help someone else in their name. then there is the chance for peace and joy for the rest of your own life.
