What do you think about Madonna Dating a 22 year old?

The first thing that comes to mind is that I have a 21 year old son so my point of view is definitely skewed. In fact, last week my family attended a “rock star” themed party and Ian was Justin Timberlake and I was Madonna. We sang their duet, “4 minutes.” It was very funny!

Of course, I would certainly be surprised if my son dated a 50 year old woman because I know him so well. I don’t know that boy (yikes! I still think of a 22 year old as a boy) but perhaps Madonna’s new friend is mature beyond his years and they are happy spending time together.

We are so accustomed to older men dating younger women that it always seems odd when it goes the other way. I really do believe age is a state of mind and we all have many soul mates that we encounter through our lives.

Maybe he is one of her soul mates and in their time together, she will be a guide for him in some way and he will be a guide for her in another. I cannot assume that Madonna is using him for his youth or he is using her for her power even though that is the knee jerk reaction we have been conditioned to believe. Maybe he’s the one who has the power. I mean his name is “Jesus” and you can’t get more powerful than that!

I am sure his parents are concerned but what is there to do. He is 22. They have to rely on what he was taught and unless he is in harms way, let him live his life, pray he remembers his values and keep the communication line open.

Time, not tabloids, will tell if their intentions are true.
