Eating Avocado's is Good for your Heart
Coronary disease has become a major death reason in most Western countries. Common medicine has no answer yet, doctors try to save what can be saved - but most people do not know how to prevent heart disease.The media and many doctors spread misinformation because they are badly informed themselves. In this article I will describe a working strategy to eliminate risk factors and strengthen your health.
The healthy heart plan: 3 action steps
1. Eat enough of the right kind of fat. Saturated or non-saturated is not the issue, as we are lead to believe. Saturated fat is not bad, and non-saturated fat is not always good. Omega3 fatty acids are essential for your health, and you need to find a good balance of eating enough fats and oils in the right quantities for your bodysystem. Be careful with processed foods. Many of them do contain hydrogenated oils, and these are detrimental for your health, because your body does not recognise them. Everything your digestive system does not recognise as edible, gets treated as poison, and it causes inflamattory reactions and other dis-eases. Do not throw out all fats however: your body needs fat. Use healthy fats like coconut oil for cooking, olive oil for salads, salmon, avocado, walnuts and whole organic eggs. Refined carbohydrates make you ill too, and the amount of sugar most people eat, would make most of them ill in the long run.
2. Learn a method to combat stress. Meditation, Emotional freedom techniques, guided relaxation CD's, you choose what suits you best. The most important is that you do it and keep doing it. Destressing has shown to be veru good for your health. It brings down cortisol levels, and it rebalances your hormonal system. Your body will regain the strength to solve its problems, and many health issues will disappear if you take off the extra burden of regular or constant stress. Smoking will not help you to combat stress - if you are honest you know that. Use EFT or hypnosis to stop smoking, and do it now. It's not worth it, Smoking is bad news for your health, full stop.
3. Start moving. It doesn't matter how you move, it matters that you do it regularly and without stressing yourself. Walking is fine, I bought myself a Wii and I'm doing yoga and aerobics exercises now every morning in my sitting room. If you're better in a group, join a gym or fitness group. Get your dog and walk him double the time as you used to, or borrow the neighbour's dog for a daily walk. The dog will love you forever, and you'll start feeling more energetic very soon. Don't forget to choose a nice route with plenty of nature and trees, and a great tip I read somewhere: Sing as you're walking. it lifts up the spirit and it's good for your lungs and the amount of oxygen in your bloodstream !
